A viral disease known as lumpy skin (LSD) that infects cattle has recently become a danger to the global livestock industry. Capripoxvirus, which causes LSD, can contract through insect bites or direct contact with infected animals. Cattle develop nodules on their skin, reduce ability produce milk, cause them lose weight, and eventually kill them. LSD significantly reduces milk production, may decrease from 10% 85%. Milk meat sales have decreased by 60% 70% in Karachi (Pakistan), result of LSD. Calves all strains ages are affected, although lactating cows young more at risk. The bulk outbreaks occurs hot, humid environments when large percentage insects serve vectors active. be transmitted quickly wildlife. This article discusses current knowledge clinical manifestations, transmission, preventive measures. It draws attention breakouts, including financial, social, medical fallouts, people's lives. paper highlights necessity continuing research surveillance comprehend illness better create efficient controls stop spread.
